Gartner Group in Stamford renovated part of their facility in the Spring of 2003. Our work was cut out for us on the first day as the construction was not quite completed, and we needed to work around the construction crew. Working with their designer, on July 1st we installed 27 Glasscrete planters, each weighing over 150 pounds. We lined the planters with plastic and glued carpet pieces on to the bottom of the planters to protect the floor. The next day we installed sixty two 10 inch Sansevieria ‘Laurentii’, sixty 10 inch Chamaedorea ‘Bamboo’ palms, ten 10 inch Aspidistra Elatiors, and twelve 6 inch Bromeliads. The planters required 300 cubic feet of mulch. To finish the design, we installed eight Forever Green Juniper Bonsai in the built in showcases. Total installation time took 2 days and 9 team members.
