One of the challenges ‘Holiday Designs by Atria’ can encounter each Holiday season is a restoration project. The sleigh pictured, was found on the side of a country road in Hamden. The restoration began by patching any holes we found with new wood fittings. Any wood that was split, we glued. All metal details were cleaned and polished. The seat cushions were dirty and torn, so we added new padding and chose a new fabric to reupholster them, creating a brand new look. After many stages of sanding, painting and detailing the metal with gold, our project was completed!
